Abstract
El estudio del ethos guía asimismo a Ana María Gentile en el análisis de la versión en español de la obra colectiva Quebec, escritores en la ciudad, editada en Buenos Aires en 2011 y traducida por Adriana Ramponi y Susana Gurovich. Así, el cuarto capítulo intitulado "Traduciendo la ciudad: identidad cultural, heterolingüismo y ethos del traductor en la versión en español de Québec, des écrivains dans la ville” parte de la noción de re-enunciación de Myriam Suchet para examinar el ethos del traductor en esta obra rica en referencias ligadas a la identidad quebequense, en especial a la sociedad, historia y geografía de la ciudad de Quebec. En los relatos de los más de treinta escritores se entrecruzan no solo expresiones extranjeras a la lengua francesa en lengua algonquina sino también variedades regionales y cronológicas del francés, lo cual insta a Gentile a abordar la obra como un caso de texto heterolingüe, siguiendo las conceptualizaciones de Rainer Grutman. La autora se detiene así a explorar el modo en que las traductoras al español han construido la re-enunciación y por lo tanto a analizar de qué manera se constituye la mediación lingüístico-cultural respecto de los umbrales de visibilidad, legibilidad y verosimilitud propios del enunciador heterolingüe.
