Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Abstract: Abolition is a vision that extends beyond the horizon of a police and prison-free world. Over the last few decades, many scholars have broadened our understanding of the securitized and militarized carceral and settler state. Asian North American abolition challenges state and sanctioned anti-Asian violence by addressing the core causes of violence rather than appealing to the state for inclusion and protection. This essay identifies the magical abolitionist transfeminist vision of Kai Cheng Thom's speculative biomythography Fierce Femmes and Notorious Liars: A Dangerous Trans Girl's Confabulous Memoir . This abolitionism is grounded in a transfeminism that refuses trans inclusion and trans media citizenship, Asian Canadian assimilation and model minoritization, and state security. Instead it offers abolitionist paradigms for preventing and stopping interpersonal violence grounded in accountability, solidarity, collectivity, and loving justice. While Fierce Femmes recognizes that our individual and collective capacities for abolition and loving justice are limited by the harms and violences that we carry, it nevertheless imagines that we can address not only interpersonal violence, but also conflicts and harm emerging from racial settler colonialism through transfemme solidarity.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
