L’infection au virus de Zika chez la femme enceinte constitue un enjeu majeur de santé publique. Elle a été associée à un syndrome congénital de Zika pouvant entraîner chez le nouveau-né des troubles neurologiques. La propagation intense du virus en Amérique latine et dans les Caraïbes a poussé L’organisation Mondiale de la Santé à décréter une urgence de santé publique de portée internationale à son encontre en février 2016. Cependant, la co-infection avec d’autres virus rendant encore plus vulnérables les femmes enceintes n’a pas été totalement explorée. Le virus de Zika partage un mode de transmission avec le virus d’immunodéficience humaine (VIH). Il est donc pertinent de s’intéresser à la co-infection au virus de Zika (ZIKV) et au VIH chez la femme enceinte. Nous utiliserons un modèle compartimental prenant en compte les paramètres liés à l’infection aux deux virus chez la femme enceinte. Nous utiliserons les données d’une cohorte de femmes enceintes séropositives au VIH à Rio de Janeiro au Brésil afin d’effectuer des expérimentations numériques. Nous introduirons ensuite dans le modèle des paramètres liés à l’application de stratégies de contrôle de l’infection aux virus. Ce projet permet de mettre en exergue le fardeau qu’exerce le virus de Zika chez les femmes enceintes séropositives au VIH. D’autant plus que les projections estiment que d’ici 2100, la majeure partie des États-Unis et le sud du Canada seront habitables par les vecteurs compétents du ZIKV. Il semble donc pertinent de s’intéresser à cette problématique dès maintenant, puisqu’elle pourrait réémerger sous peu.
