Inscrite dans la perspective méthodologique de Bourdieu (1996), qui préconise l’analyse critique des discours que les journalistes tiennent sur leurs propres pratiques, cette étude examine, à partir d’entretiens semi-directifs (Chevalier et Meyer, 2018), les perceptions et stratégies de journalistes de radio de trois grandes villes francophones (Kinshasa, Montréal et Paris) spécialisés dans la couverture des conférences des parties (COP) sur le climat. Elle s’intéresse à la manière dont ces journalistes conçoivent leur rôle face à la désinformation et aux pratiques qu’ils mobilisent pour garantir une information fiable sur les enjeux climatiques, notamment lors de la COP 28. Les résultats indiquent que leur capacité à faire face à la désinformation repose sur leur compréhension des enjeux climatiques et sur l’intégration de compétences en littératie médiatique et climatique. Ils soulignent également la nécessité d’une formation continue des journalistes afin de mieux appréhender la complexité des dynamiques environnementales et de renforcer la fiabilité de leur couverture.
