Os ecomuseus no Canadá entre a anglo e a francofonia: 40 anos da Declaração de Quebec (1984-2024)

Abstract
O artigo reflete sobre o percurso dos movimentos por uma Nova Museologia, considerando momentos e eventos significativos que ocorreram no Canadá e que antecedem a Declaração de Quebec de 1984. Debruça-se sobre a mudança de concepção de objeto de estudo proposta por esse “novo museu”, no qual a ênfase é dada ao território, ao patrimônio e à comunidade, a fim de reconhecer a Nova Museologia como um movimento de larga abrangência teórica e metodológica. Pondera-se sobre como esse debate, inicialmente situado na Europa, reverbera e passa a dialogar com as questões e o contexto histórico social local, significando umarenovação nos espaços museais canadenses em suas vertentes francesa e anglo-saxônica. Metodologicamente, o artigo apresenta a contextualização da Nova Museologia e os ecomuseus no Canadá a partir de revisão bibliográfica, análise documental e dois estudos de caso, com o objetivo de discutir as ressonâncias das duas vertentes nos ecomuseus canadenses. Por fim, pretende contribuir paraa análise no âmbito dos quarenta anos da Declaração de Quebec, demonstrando alguns dos principais pressupostos da Nova Museologia e suas implicações no século XXI.
