Abstract
A economia brasileira voltou a crescer nas duas últimas décadas, porém, para seguir acelerando seu crescimento, são necessários alguns passos fundamentais, dentre eles a melhoria na infraestrutura e no sistema logístico nacional. Percebendo essa nova demanda os últimos governos têm proposto e dado início a obras importantes como as grandes ferrovias FIOL, FNS e Transcontinental. Graças a necessidade de maior escoamento da produção criam-se vários sobre os benefícios dessas obras para toda a população das cidades em que tais trilhos perpassam. Contudo, cabe as seguintes questões: quais são os reais benefícios de projetos como o da Ferrovia Norte-Sul para a população das cidades cortadas por seus trilhos, como Uruaçu-GO, cidade foco nessa pesquisa? Como a população enxerga esse tipo de projeto? Quem são os reais beneficiados? Diante disso surgiu essa proposta de pesquisa que almeja entender os reais impactos socioeconômicos da entrada em atividade da FNS no município de Uruaçu-GO. Para tornar possível esse estudo, serão realizados: levantamento bibliográfico; levantamento documental frente a prefeitura e as empreiteiras responsáveis pela obra e pelas atividades da FNS; elaboração e aplicação de questionários e entrevistas para identificar as percepções de diferentes atores quanto a entrada em atividade do projeto logístico. Dessa forma espera-se aqui contribuir com a discussão da importância e das limitações de projetos como o da FNS para a vida das pessoas das cidades que recebem tais obras.
