Os índices de cesarianas permanecem altos mundialmente, gerando efeitos adversos como dores persistentes, recuperação prolongada, depressão pós-parto e dificuldade na interação mãe/bebê. A fotobiomodulação com Laser de Baixa Potência (LBP) surge como alternativa para suprir demandas relacionadas à dor e à cicatrização pós-operatória. OBJETIVOS: avaliar a efetividade do laser de baixa potência comparado aos cuidados usuais na intensidade da dor e na cicatrização do pós operatório imediato de cirurgia cesariana; MÉTODOS: foi realizado um ensaio clínico randomizado controlado, aplicando LBP (Luz Infravermelho, 5J/cm2, potência 120 mW) em dois momentos: 24-30h e 48h pós-parto. O grupo controle recebeu os cuidados usuais do serviço. Mulheres maiores de 18 anos com pós-operatório de 24h e dor na ferida pós cirúrgica ≥3, na Escala Visual Analógica (EVA) foram incluídas. Os desfechos primários foram: dor (EAV) e qualidade de cicatrização (Escala Vancouver). Os desfechos secundários foram: analgesia farmacológica, percepção global de saúde, e efeitos adversos; RESULTADOS: Participaram 104 pacientes, porém ocorreram 23 perdas. Não houve efeitos adversos relatados. O grupo LBP teve melhores resultados na escala visual análogica (EVA) (DM) sendo -1,4 (IC95%: -2.3 to -0.5), cicatrização global (Escala Vancouver) (DM 3,31(IC95%3,19; 3,43)) e nas subescalas de vascularização (DM: 1.0 ;IC95% 1.00 a 1.03) e flexibilidade (DM :1.11;IC95% 1.07; 1.15)), com diferenças significativas; CONCLUSÃO: O LBP mostrou-se seguro e eficaz na melhora da dor e impactando significativamente na cicatrização. A técnica representa uma alternativa viável na modulação inflamatória a complementar os cuidados pós cesárea, promovendo benefícios relevantes nos desfechos clínicos e na modulação inflamatória.
