Influência da permanência em prono nas aquisições motoras de lactentes a termo de zero aos doze meses de idade

Abstract
Objetivo: Verificar se existe correlação entre o desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor e o desempenho motor na posição prona de lactentes a termo de zero a doze meses de idade. Método: Foram realizadas 95 avaliações em lactentes a termo, submetidos ao teste de desenvolvimento neuropsicomotor Escala Bayley de Desenvolvimento Infantil (Bayley III) e Escala Motora Infantil de Alberta (AIMS). A influência da postura prona em habilidades neuropsicomotoras foi avaliada pela correlação de Pearson entre os escores obtidos pela AIMS em prono e Bayley, ao nível de significância de 1 e 5%. Resultados: A média de idade dos lactentes participantes foi de 4,91 (±2,82) meses, com amplitude de 0 a 12 meses. Não foi observado desenvolvimento motor anormal, contudo, 38% das avaliações apresentaram desempenho motor com suspeita de atraso no desempenho motor de acordo com a AIMS. Observou-se correlação positiva significativa entre a postura prona e as variáveis cognitiva, motricidade grosa e motricidade fina. Conclusão: O desenvolvimento dos lactentes em prono tem correlação positiva com o desenvolvimento cognitivo, motricidade grossa e motricidade fina de zero a doze meses de idade. Por isso, recomenda-se a estimulação da permanência no bebê nessa posição na primeira infância pelos responsáveis. As crianças que apresentam desenvolvimento motor suspeito, devem ser submetidas a um acompanhamento, para que se evite atrasos no desenvolvimento e se favoreça a intervenção oportuna.
