Voici un magnifique ouvrage de rfrence pour les praticiens de l'intervention !Les auteurs, Jacques Chevalier et Daniel Buckles, sont enseignants en anthropologie et sociologie l'universit Carleton d'Ottawa et consultants.Ils sont intervenus sur les cinq continents et sur des problmatiques trs varies : rorientation de la production agricole de tabac vers des cultures alimentaires au Bangladesh, adaptation aux changements climatiques au Nigria, dveloppement de l'cotourisme au Qubec, prvention des accidents dans le secteur du btiment en France, empowerment de la communaut katkarie en Inde... L'ouvrage porte le tmoignage de plusieurs de ces interventions, toutes menes dans la triple perspective des recherches-actions participatives : dveloppement de la participation et de la capacit d'agir, rsolution des problmes, acquisition de connaissances de porte gnrale.Ces diffrentes vises demandent cependant que les moyens de l'une ne contrarient pas les moyens de l'autre et que les instruments de la connaissance, les enqutes en particulier, ne dpossdent pas les acteurs de leurs savoirs ni de leur initiative sur leur situation.Il faut donc l'intervention des moyens habiles dont les acteurs puissent se saisir pour prendre appui sur leurs savoirs, clarifier leurs vises et conduire leur action.Ce sont de tels moyens habiles de la recherche-action participative que les auteurs ont conus et construits au fil de leurs travaux et qu'ils nous font partager dans cet ouvrage.Prenons l'exemple de la recherche-action participative mene
