Abstract
Mikhail Mitsakis (1865-1916) a fait une brève et brillante carrière dans la littérature grecque entre 1880 et 1895. Il a écrit exclusivement dans une prose concise, surtout des tableaux de la vie de tous les jours publiés dans des journaux et revues athéniens. Les premiers symptômes de sa maladie mentale sont apparus en décembre 1895. Un peu plus tard, il est interné pendant sept mois en hôpital psychiatrique, ce qui met fin à sa carrière littéraire. De plus en plus aliéné, il a alors commencé une autre forme de production littéraire, dans ses « Pourquoi ? » (Γιατί) et surtout dans ses poèmes en français, écrits de façon très particulière, sur les pages d’un volume de L’Iliade et sur des morceaux de papier qu’il laissait sur les bureaux des journalistes. Cette poésie, parfois brillante et troublante, nous amène à réfléchir sur les rapports qu’entretiennent littérature et psychopathologie.
