Abstract
Dans cet article, nous réévaluons le legs scientifique de Twardowski en nous fondant sur une analyse ontologique de sa théorie de la représentation conceptuelle et du jugement, rompant avec les analyses communément établies. En 1903, dans L ’ Essence des Concepts, Twardowski pose le concept comme partie d’actes de représentations « non intuitives ». Nous attribuons au concept le rôle de porter devant la conscience un objet doté de propriétés, permettant au sujet de penser à un objet quelconque. L’existence de cet objet pensé immanent, couplée au fait que le concept soit également objet de représentation, conduit à mettre au jour un jeu cohérent de notions concernant le jugement, à savoir celles de jugement représenté et de jugement porté . Parmi les objets pensés, nous précisons la nature de l’ affaire , distincte de la chose , conférant au sujet une connaissance des évolutions du monde. Pour caractériser complètement le psychologisme ontologique de Twardowski, nous évoquons finalement la nature de construit social qu’il attribue à l’objet pensé.
