Individu mengalami penurunan kebahagiaan seiring dengan bertambahnya usia, penurunan kebahagiaan tersebut disebabkan karena berbagai macam persoalan seperti tekanan ditempat kerja, tuntutan pekerjaan, dan berkurangnya jumlah teman dekat, selain itu jam kerja yang panjang dan padat juga menjadi hambatan utama untuk memiliki waktu luang, bersantai, atau melakukan aktivitas yang mereka sukai. Kurangnya waktu dan intensitas untuk berinteraksi sosial membuat mereka merasa kesepian dan tidak bahagia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara kualitas persahabatan dengan kebahagiaan pada dewasa awal. Variabel tergantung pada penelitian ini adalah kebahagiaan, sedangkan variabel bebas adalah kualitas persahabatan. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah ada hubungan positif antara kualitas persahabatan dengan kebahagiaan pada dewasa awal. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dan metode analisis data menggunakan metode korelasional product moment. Subjek penelitian adalah orang dewasa awal berusia 18 – 25 tahun dan berdomisili di Semarang. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 89 orang subjek. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah The PERMA-Profiler dan McGill Friendship Questionnaire-friend’s Functions (MFQ-SS). Hasil dari penelitian ini diuji menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman dengan hasil ρ = 0,379 dan p = 0,000 (p< 0,05). Dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajukan diterima dan dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan positif dan signifikan antara kualitas persahabatan dengan kebahagiaan pada dewasa awal.
