Abstract
Dans leur contribution, les autrices mobilisent la théorie frontalière d’Anzaldúa pour souligner l’apport des intervenant‧es issus de l’immigration dans le secteur de l’établissement des personnes nouvellement arrivées au Canada. Elles explorent leur positionnalité frontalière comme lieu de résistance à partir duquel les participant‧es interrogent les pratiques et discours dominants en matière d’immigration, y résistent et luttent pour un accompagnement juste et digne des personnes immigrantes. Leur contribution s’appuie sur les résultats d’une recherche participative ayant permis d’effectuer 27 entrevues qualitatives approfondies avec des intervenant‧es issus de l’immigration et travaillant auprès de personnes immigrantes. L’analyse de leurs récits à partir de l’univers conceptuel frontalier d’Anzaldúa permet de dépasser le rapport dichotomique personne intervenante/personne aidée, de prendre en compte leurs positionnalités complexes et de valoriser leurs expériences et leurs contributions dans le secteur de l’immigration. Leur proximité avec l’expérience migratoire devient le moteur de postures militantes et revendicatrices de changements qui sont à même de transformer l’intervention dans ce secteur.
