Abstract
Salah satu jenis kanker yang dapat mengenai organ tubuh seseorang ialah kanker payudara, menjadikannya penyebab utama kematian. Hal tersebut mendorong perhatian yang lebih besar terhadap pengobatan dan penanganan pasien kanker payudara salah satunya yaitu kemoterapi, yang efektif dalam mengurangi ukuran tumor dan meningkatkan harapan hidup. Terdapat beberapa efek samping dari kemoterapi tersebut satu diantaranya dapat berdampak pada kualitas hidup pasien.yang menjalani perawatan. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi hubungan efek samping kanker dengan kualitas hidup pasien kanker payudara menggunakan instrmen ESAS (Edmonton Symptom Assessment Scale) Di RS Sentra Medika Cibinong. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan cross sectional. Pengumpulan data dalam metode ini dilakukan secara bersamaan dalam satu periode waktu. Populasi dan sampel yang melibatkan 57 responden.data penelitian diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi-Square dengan tingkat signifikansi α < 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel usia dewasa ≤ 59 tahun 47 orang (82.5%), pekerjaan IRT 31 orang (54.4%), efek samping dirasakan responden nyeri 28 orang (49,1%), kelelahan 27 orang (47,4%), mual 28 orang (49,1%), sesak napas 14 orang (24,6%), nafsu makan berkurang 30 orang (52,6%), rasa kantuk 34 orang (59,6%), depresi 31 orang (54,4%), kecemasan 30 orang (52,6%). Kesimpulan: penelitian ini membuktikan adanya hubungan signifikan antara efek samping samping kanker dengan kualitas hidup pasdien kanker payudara, khususnya pada gelaja nyeri, kelelahan, mual, sesak napas, penurunan nafsu makan, depresi, kecamasan serta gejala lainnya, sebaliknya pada gejala kantuk tidak ditemukan hubungan yang bermakna.
