More and more people have an irregular posture, stumble, slouch. Changes in trunk functions are typical for both non-athletic and physically active people. The topic chosen for the research work aims to investigate an effective way of correcting people's posture. The aim of this thesis is to identify changes in trunk function using various fascia manipulation techniques. Objectives: 1. To evaluate fascia manipulation effectiveness in thoracolumbar part; 2. To evaluate fascia manipulation effectiveness in shoulder range of motion; 3. To evaluate fascia manipulation effectiveness in thoracolumbar muscle strength and stamina. Methods: The participants were 15 active athletes aged between 30 and 40 years with postural disorders. Some of the subjects have limitations in range of motion in the shoulders or hips. Subjects were tested using a bilateral arm lift test, a gravity-dependent inclinometer and a goniometer to assess thoracic spine flexion, and a 'Chest to Wall' test. Static endurance of the trunk muscles was assessed with the McGill test. Assessments were performed twice: before fascia manipulation and after 10 sessions. Conclusion: After myofascial release for the athletes, data increase was not significant. Yet myofascial release is effective way to increase mobility and increase joint range of motion.
