Abstract
Tarih boyunca insanoğlu istek ve ihtiyaçlarına yönelik eylemlerde bulunmuş ve bu eylemler sonucunda yeni, farklı ve uygulanabilir çalışmalar ve buluşlara imza atmıştır. Geride pek çok sanat eserleri ve yapıtları bırakarak, tarihi günümüzde de yaşanır kılmışlardır. Sanat kavramı içerisinde gelişen ve birçok farklı alanları içerisine alan grafik tasarımda tarihimizin birer yansıması olarak ve günümüz sanatçılarının kaynak olarak kullandığı geleneksel sanatlarda motif süslemelerinin ambalaj tasarım alanında kullanımı oldukça yaygınlaşmıştır. Ambalaj yüzeylerinde geleneksel süsleme motiflerinin kullanımına bu tez çalışmasında detaylı olarak incelemeler yapılarak açıklanmıştır. Bu tez çalışması, altı bölümden oluşmaktadır. 1. Bölüm olan giriş ve alt başlıklar da tezdeki temel sorulara cevap aranmıştır. 2. Bölüm de Anadolu Selçuklu ve Osmanlı dönemi kısa tarihçeleri ve geleneksel süsleme sanatları ve çeşitlerine yer verilmiştir. 3. Bölüm de Grafik tasarım, tarihi süreçle birlikte grafik tasarım ilke ve elemanları anlatılmıştır. 4. Bölümde ise Grafik tasarım uygulama alanlarından ambalajın tarihçesi ve gelişim süreçleri ele alınmıştır. 5. Bölüm “Anadolu Selçuklu ve Osmanlı dönemi geleneksel süsleme motiflerinin günümüz ambalajlarına yansıması” olarak tezin temel konusu ele alınarak örneklerle açıklanmıştır. 6. Bölümde ve son kısım ise bulgular ve yorumlar başlığı altında piyasada satılan ürün ambalajlarından 10 ürün grafik tasarım ilke ve elemanlarına göre incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonuç kısmı ile tamamlanmıştır.
