Abstract
Predmet diplomskog rada jest filozofija apsurda Alberta Camusa, jednog od najvažnijih filozofa i književnika 20. stoljeća. U radu se istražuju temeljne postavke Camusove filozofije, s naglaskom na pojam apsurda, njegovu genezu, razvoj i praktične implikacije za suvremenog čovjeka. Cilj je diplomskog rada sustavno prikazati i kritički analizirati Camusovu filozofiju apsurda, objasniti njezine izvore i temeljne pojmove te pokazati na koji način Camusova misao može biti relevantna za razumijevanje suvremenih egzistencijalnih i etičkih pitanja. Camus definira apsurd kao sukob između čovjekove potrebe za smislom i jasnoćom te šutnje i ravnodušnosti svijeta. U djelu Mit o Sizifu Camus pokazuje da je apsurd egzistencijalna činjenica: svijet ne nudi odgovore na temeljna pitanja, a pokušaji bijega u religiju ili metafiziku predstavljaju "filozofsko samoubojstvo". Pravi odgovor na apsurd nije predaja, već prihvaćanje besmisla i hrabra, lucidna pobuna - život unatoč besmislu, bez iluzija i lažnih utjeha. U romanu Stranac Camus utjelovljuje lik Mersaulta, apsurdnog junaka koji živi autentično, odbacujući društvene norme i lažnu nadu. U drugoj fazi svojeg stvaralaštva Camus razvija filozofiju pobune kao nastavak apsurda. U filozofskoj raspravi Pobunjeni čovjek navodi kako je pobuna afirmacija vrijednosti i dostojanstva, ali ona pritom uvijek priznaje granice, mjeru i solidarnost. Camusova filozofija nudi poticaj na autentično, odgovorno i solidarno življenje u svijetu bez unaprijed zadanog smisla, pozivajući na stvaranje prostora za zajednički život i ljudsku dostojanstvenost. Stoga je Camusova misao iznimno relevantna i danas, posebno u kontekstu suvremenih društvenih izazova i krize smisla.
