U radu, koji je podijeljen na četiri djela, prvi dio sadrži objašnjenja metodičkih sustava u nastavi te je naglasak stavljen na korelacijsko-integracijski metodički sustav. Dodatno su pojašnjene njegove karakteristike te pozitivne sastavnice, pri čemu se ističe pozitivan učinak na učenike. U drugome dijelu rada pojašnjeni su ustroji sati te je navedeno koji ustroj sata najbolje odgovara kojem metodičkome sustavu. Uz to, naglasak je stavljen na ustroj sati problemsko-stvaralačke nastave, i na ustroj sata za lektiru zato što su to dva najrelevantnija ustroja za ovaj rad. U trećem dijelu rada ukratko je navedena poveznica književnosti s umjetnostima, s likovnom i glazbenom umjetnošću te poveznica s filozofijom što je malo detaljnije razrađeno. Četvrti dio rada sadrži dijelove nastavne pripreme pomoću kojih je prikazano kako je moguće povezati dva srednjoškolska predmeta, Hrvatski jezik i Filozofiju, a da se pritom koristi korelacijsko-integracijski metodički sustav. Povezivanje se temeljilo na dva odabrana djela koja su ujedno i srednjoškolske lektire za program gimnazija, a to su: Život je san, Pedra Calderóna de la Barce i Stranac, Alberta Camusa.
