Pasantía en la Corporación Autónoma Regional del Centro de Antioquia (CORANTIOQUIA) con enfoque en rehabilitación y liberación de fauna silvestre

Abstract
Las Corporaciones Autónomas Regionales (CAR), los Centros de Atención y Valoración de Fauna Silvestre (CAV), el Instituto Distrital de Bienestar y Protección Animal, entre otros, son algunas de las instituciones colombianas que ayudan en la lucha contra actividades ilícitas que afectan a la fauna y flora del país. Una de sus formas de contribuir es realizando actividades como la rehabilitación, reubicación y liberación de fauna silvestre. Con el fin de aplicar los conocimientos adquiridos en el pregrado y fortalecer algunas habilidades y destrezas, se realizó una pasantía en el Hogar de Paso de Fauna Silvestre de CORANTIOQUIA durante 4 meses y medio, en la cual se apoyaron las actividades diarias del lugar como: enriquecimientos ambientales, ejercicios de vuelo para la rehabilitación de aves, apoyo al personal veterinario y de nutrición, asistencia a liberaciones de fauna silvestre, entre otras. Además, se realizó una recopilación de información que permitió crear fichas sobre enriquecedores y sobre rehabilitación de algunas especies de psitácidos. Se logró entender cuál es la dinámica de trabajo dentro de este tipo de instituciones desde un punto multidisciplinario, se profundizo en el conocimiento tanto biológico, como ecológico sobre las diferentes especies que llegan al hogar de paso y se reforzaron habilidades blandas necesarias para el campo laboral como toma de decisiones, manejo del tiempo, trabajo en equipo entre otros.
