A Remotely-Delivered, Combined Exercise Training Program for Mental Health in Women Living With and Beyond Breast Cancer With Mild Cognitive Impairment: A Pilot Study
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Women living with and beyond breast cancer (LWBBC) who received chemotherapy treatmentare at a heightened risk of experiencing poor mental health outcomes (i.e., anxiety and depression). The purpose of this two-armed, mixed-method, randomized controlled trial (RCT) was to examine changes in self-reported mental health outcomes of an 8-week supervised, remotely-delivered, combined exercise (i.e., aerobic + resistance training) compared to an active control program for women LWBBC with mild cognitive impairment following chemotherapy treatment. Participants (N=21) completed primary outcome measures of mental health, and secondary outcome measures of self-efficacy, self-esteem, and device-measured moderate-to- vigorous physical activity at pre-and post-intervention. Semi-structured interviews were conducted at post-intervention. Improvements in mental health and self-efficacy favoured the combined exercise group. Participants indicated improved perceived capability and enjoyed the positive, shared-experience facilitated through the group-based exercise environment. Larger RCTs that are adequately powered to detect significant improvements in mental health are needed.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.

machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
