Este proyecto se basa en el desarrollo de un libro interactivo para el club de lectura de la Universidad Autónoma de Occidente; el cual se llevó a cabo mediante un proceso de diseño para el desarrollo de sistemas multimedia centrado en el usuario involucrando los pilares de software, experiencia de usuario y hardware. Inicialmente, se tomó como problemática la necesidad expresada por el director de la Biblioteca de la Universidad Hugo Alberto Gallo, además de analizar las dinámicas de los usuarios que participan tanto dentro de la biblioteca como en el club de lectura para plantear un libro interactivo que podría motivar la participación de los universitarios y al mismo tiempo, dar a conocer los contenidos y producción literaria de este espacio de lectura. Para realizar el sistema multimedia se aplicó una metodología de desarrollo en seis fases: definición de la estrategia, comprendiendo el contexto, generación de concepto y prototipado, producción e integración, evaluación integral, y lanzamiento y monitoreo del sistema; con el fin de tener como resultado un producto funcional que cumpliera con los requisitos establecidos inicialmente y generara un valor agregado y un impacto positivo en el público objetivo para el cual está dirigido el sistema multimedia. Los resultados obtenidos se evaluaron mediante pruebas de usuarios y expertos, aplicando métodos de usabilidad como el método del conductor, pensando en voz alta, recorrido cognitivo y la evaluación heurística, los cuales permitieron analizar los posibles problemas presentes en el sistema funcional, de tal forma, que dichos inconvenientes o errores fueron atendidos y solucionados para finalmente lograr que el libro interactivo contara con la aceptación de los usuarios potenciales
