Abstract
Industri pariwisata menjadi salah satu perhatian penting bagi pemerintah mengingat Indonesia yang memiliki keindahan alam di setiap bagian wilayahnya dan beragam budaya yang tetap asri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh sektor pariwisata terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi Jawa Timur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu regresi data panel dengan cross section 20 kabupaten/kota di Provinsi Jawa Timur dan time series tahun 2017-2022. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendapatan pariwisata dan investasi memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap produk domestik regional bruto (PDRB). Sedangkan, jumlah kunjungan wisatawan mancanegara dan jumlah akomodasi hotel memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap PDRB Jawa Timur. Perencanaan strategis dalam keberlanjutan sektor pariwisata yaitu kelembagaan dan manajemen, market attractiveness and pushing product, peningkatan investasi, cultural and enviromental stewardship, dan pembangunan ekonomi daerah. Rekomendasi strategi yang disarankan yaitu manajemen kelembagaan yang terorganisir dengan meningkatkan peran kolaborasi hexahelix (business, government, community, academic, media, dan professional organizations), pembangunan ekonomi daerah yang meliputi pembangunan sarana dan prasarana cultural and environmental stewardship yang berkaitan dengan perlindungan sosial budaya dan lingkungan tempat wisata agar tetap asri. Selain itu juga market attractiveness and pushing product yang menggerakkan sektor UMKM regional yang mendorong perekonomian masyarakat daerah wisata.
