Abstract
İnsanoğlunun en temel ihtiyaçlarından biri olan barınma, tarih boyunca farklı coğrafyalarda çeşitli biçimlerde çözümlenmiştir. En eski konut örnekleri, insanın barınma sorununu doğanın sunduğu imkânlarla ve bulunduğu iklim koşullarına uygun biçimde çözdüğünü or- taya koyar. Teknolojinin ve yapı malzemelerinin kısıtlı olduğu dönemlerde, iklim mimariyi şekillendiren başlıca etkenlerden biridir. Bu bağlamda, Türkiye’nin ılımlı nemli iklim bölgesinde yer alan Trabzon’un Sürmene ilçesindeki Ormanseven Köyü’nde yer alan Şevki Parlak Evi, iklimle uyumlu geleneksel konut mimarisinin özgün bir örneğini sunar. Yapı, Doğu Karadeniz’in kendine has coğrafi ve kültürel özel- liklerini yansıtan, yerel mimari anlayışla inşa edilmiştir. Ahşap taşıyıcı sistem üzerine, taşla doldurulmuş göz dolma tekniği kullanılarak yapılan ev; malzeme seçimi, yapı kurgusu ve çevreyle kurduğu dengeli ilişki açısından bölgenin kırsal mimarisine özgü karakteristik nitelikleri barındırmaktadır.
