Abstract
La presente investigación tiene como objetivo describir los factores determinantes en el ejercicio de los Derechos Sexuales y Reproductivos (DSR) de un grupo de estudiantes de la Escuela de Trabajo Social de la Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS), desde una perspectiva de género y derechos humanos. En esta investigación se emplea el diseño de investigación mixta y la recolección de datos e información sobre percepciones, conocimientos y barreras en el acceso a estos derechos, se realiza por medio de utilizar instrumentos como cuestionarios y entrevistas. Los hallazgos y resultados obtenidos indican que el acceso y ejercicio de los DSR se ven influenciados por factores como la información y educación sexual, la disponibilidad de servicios de salud, la influencia de normas socioculturales, la autonomía en la toma de decisiones, la condición económica, las políticas gubernamentales, las expectativas de género y la violencia de género. Donde la población femenina y con orientación sexual diversa se ven principalmente impactados por estos elementos. Así mismo, el análisis estadístico realizado por medio de la prueba de chi-cuadrado permite validar la hipótesis que sostiene que la percepción y el ejercicio de los DSR están significativamente influenciados por estos factores determinantes. En conclusión, se resalta que la dimensión de género es un factor estructural en la configuración de las desigualdades en el ejercicio de los DSR, lo cual pone en evidencia la necesidad de fortalecer la educación sexual integral y las políticas públicas a fin de garantizar el ejercicio pleno de estos derechos.
