La santé psychologique au travail des enseignants a déjà fait l'objet de nombreuses études. Toutefois, l'attention est souvent focalisée sur des aspects négatifs tels que le stress professionnel, le burn-out ou encore l'abandon du métier. Or, la santé psychologique au travail ne peut se réduire à l'absence de détresse, elle comporte aussi une facette positive : le bien-être. Elle s'exprime par le degré d'adaptation au travail. Enfin, elle est subjective. Elle dépend de la façon dont le travailleur se perçoit au travail, perçoit le travail lui-même et la qualité des relations avec ses collègues (Savoie, Brunet, Boudrias & Gilbert, 2010). En nous appuyant sur le modèle de la santé psychologique au travail développé par l'équipe de Brunet et Savoie à l'Université de Montréal (Boudrias, Savoie & Brunet, 2007) ainsi que sur le questionnaire construit sur la base de ce modèle, notre recherche vise à appréhender l'état de santé psychologique d'enseignants du secondaire en Fédération Wallonie Bruxelles. Elle vise aussi à relier cet état avec différentes variables individuelles et situationnelles. 621 enseignants ont répondu au questionnaire. Les résultats montrent que la majorité des enseignants interrogés (56%) ne sont pas caractérisés par une « bonne » santé psychologique au travail. Des relations significatives ont pu être établies entre la santé psychologique au travail et 1) l'intention d'exercer le métier jusqu'à la retraite, 2) le climat organisationnel, 3) l'école et 4) le diplôme. Ces résultats sont discutés en lien avec le modèle et avec des pistes d'amélioration de la santé psychologique au travail des enseignants.
