Fem virksomhedscases fra Samarbejdsnævnets årsrapport viser samstemmende, at Samarbejdsudvalgene spiller en hovedrolle i den koordinerende indsats mellem virksomhed, myndigheder og andre aktører - boligudlejere, banken, lokalbefolkningen - når udenlandsk arbejdskraft kommer til landet. På samme måde spiller Samarbejdsudvalgene en konstruktiv rolle i forbindelse med outsourcing. Steen E. Navrbjerg, forskningsleder for Forskningscenter for Arbejdsmarkeds- og Organisationsstudier (FAOS), påpeger i rapporten, at de fem cases i årsrapporten på mange måder illustrerer best practice ved organisationsændringer i almindelighed og ved outsourcing i særdeleshed. Det handler om rettidig information og kommunikation, og det er oplagt, at samarbejdsudvalgene er vigtige fora for dette arbejde. Samarbejdsnævnet har som primær opgave er at udføre oplysnings-, vejlednings- og udviklingsarbejde til fremme af samarbejdet i virksomhederne. Formand for Samarbejdsnævnet Povl-Christian Jensen, DA og næstformand Ejner K. Holst, LO: "Ansættelse af udenlandske medarbejdere eller outsourcing er for mange virksomheder nye områder. For andre er der så lang tid imellem det sker, at det hver gang er en ny udfordring, som naturligt hører hjemme i det stedlige samarbejdsudvalg. Flere cases i årsrapporten viser, hvor væsentlig det er, at modtagelsen af udenlandsk arbejdskraft er velforberedt og smidig. De fem virksomheder Lego, Alfa Laval, Føtex, Danish Crown og Ideal Combi stiller i årsrapporten deres erfaringer til rådighed og demonstrerer bl.a., hvordan samarbejdsudvalgene kan være med til at bygge bro mellem den udenlandske arbejdskraft og de offentlige myndigheder. De fem virksomhedscases illustrerer også, hvordan samarbejdsudvalgene kan fremme en god proces i forbindelse med outsourcing."
