Abstract
De kroniek algemeen opent met de aankondiging van twee Nijmeegse promoties: over de eenzijdige rechtshandeling en over levering en verpanding van toekomstige goederen. Vorig jaar vierde de Europese verordening instapweigering en annulering of langdurige vertraging van vluchten haar tweede lustrum – een Engelse bundel brengt verslag uit. In hoeverre komt de common law van landen als Australië, Canada en Nieuw Zeeland overeen met – of wijkt deze af van – die van Engeland? In de vorige kroniek kwam de convergentie van deze stelsels aan de orde, thans is de divergentie aan bod. Aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam sprak Chantal Mak haar inaugurele rede uit over rechtvaardigheid door Europees privaatrecht. Behalve de twee proefschriften van de Radboud Universiteit is er nog een Nijmeegse productie over volmacht, terwijl een congres in Edinburgh in een bundel over informatieverplichtingen resulteerde. Asbest stond de afgelopen maanden op verschillende wijzen in het nieuws. De kroniek wordt afgesloten met aandacht voor het privaatrecht van de toekomst, enige publicaties in het Engels – of in het Nederlands door niet-Nederlanders – over Nederlands recht en een nieuw(e) (naam voor een) tijdschrift voor ondernemingsrecht.
