On the Inapplicability of Gödelian Limits to Recursive Entropic Computation Substrates
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Recent publications argue that Gödel’s incompleteness theorems preclude simulated or computational emergence of reality and consciousness, asserting that physical law cannot be generated or sustained by any computational substrate. These arguments rely on a crucial, unstated assumption: that “computation” is limited to discrete, axiomatic, symbol‑manipulating systems analogous to classical Turing computation. We demonstrate that this interpretation is incomplete. Gödel’s theorems apply only to formal symbolic systems with fixed axioms capable of encoding Peano arithmetic. They do not apply to analogue, recursive, or entropy‑minimizing physical computation frameworks. Modern computational physics, information thermodynamics, and recursive entropy‑homeostasis frameworks (RHEA‑UCM, 2024‑2029) operate outside Gödelian constraint classes by employing non‑axiomatic, continuous, feedback‑driven evolution, where state and rule co‑emerge under bounded entropy flow, not under fixed symbolic closure. Thus, claims that “Gödel forbids a computational universe” fail to address computation models consistent with known physics, biological processing, and entropy‑bound cognitive architectures. The argument demonstrates a limitation of digital formalism, not a limitation of physical computation or simulated cosmogenesis.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; both teacher heads agree on what is shown here.
