Abstract
Les changements climatiques constituent une réalité incontournable qui invite la muséologie à repenser son rôle dans l’exploitation des ressources naturelles et culturelles. Le secteur muséal québécois a entrepris des actions durables axées principalement sur les activités destinées aux publics, telles que les expositions et la médiation. Cependant, la gestion des collections reste un domaine peu exploré. Cette recherche s’intéresse au rôle que peut jouer une gestion durable des collections dans la transition socioécologique des musées québécois, en interrogeant la capacité des institutions à concilier durabilité environnementale, contraintes institutionnelles et mission patrimoniale. Appuyée sur une revue de littérature, l’analyse de pratiques internationales et un sondage mené auprès des musées québécois, l’étude vise à dresser un portrait global des pratiques et des défis. L’hypothèse avancée est que la gestion durable des collections peut constituer un levier structurant de cette transition, à condition de revoir les critères d’acquisition et d’adapter les stratégies aux réalités locales. L’objectif est de promouvoir une muséologie réfléchie, collaborative et respectueuse des enjeux de durabilité, où la gestion des collections devient une opportunité d’engagement et de dialogue. _____________________________________________________________________________ MOTS-CLÉS DE L’AUTEUR : gestion des collections, transition socioécologique, durabilité
