Abstract
El estudio tuvo como objetivo principal determinar los resultados funcionales del manejo quirúrgico de grandes quemados mediante la técnica de microinjertos Meek en comparación con la técnica de injerto mallado en pacientes hospitalizados en el Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza durante el periodo 2024–2025. Se desarrolló una investigación cuantitativa de tipo básico, con diseño observacional, comparativo y analítico, que incluyó un grupo de intervención tratado con la técnica Meek y un grupo control histórico manejado con la técnica de mallado, sin manipulación de variables. El análisis se basó en datos demográficos y clínicos obtenidos de fuentes secundarias, utilizando pruebas estadísticas como la correlación de Spearman, la prueba Chi-cuadrado y modelos de regresión logística para contrastar hipótesis e identificar factores asociados al éxito o fracaso del tratamiento quirúrgico. Como instrumentos se emplearon una ficha de recolección de datos y la Escala de Vancouver para evaluar la calidad de la cicatrización. La muestra estuvo conformada por 290 pacientes, distribuidos equitativamente entre ambos grupos, seleccionados bajo criterios de inclusión que consideraron una edad igual o mayor a 14 años y una superficie corporal quemada igual o superior al 20%.
