Evaluar la asociación entre el trabajo en turno nocturno y el riesgo de desarrollar obesidad en trabajadores de actividades laborales no relacionadas con el sector salud. Material y métodos: Se realizó una revisión sistemática y metaanálisis siguiendo las directrices PRISMA 2020. Se incluyeron estudios observacionales (transversales y de cohortes) que compararon trabajadores nocturnos con diurnos respecto al riesgo de obesidad, definidos por IMC ≥ 30 kg/m², criterios de síndrome metabólico u otros indicadores de adiposidad. La búsqueda se efectuó en PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science y Embase hasta enero de 2024. La calidad metodológica se evaluó con la escala Newcastle-Ottawa adaptada para estudios transversales. Se utilizó un modelo de efectos aleatorios para estimar la OR agrupada. Resultados: Se incluyeron 10 estudios con un total de 12,497 trabajadores de sectores no sanitarios, principalmente de industrias manufactureras, minería y plataformas offshore. Ocho estudios fueron incluidos en el metaanálisis. El trabajo nocturno se asoció significativamente con un mayor riesgo de obesidad (OR: 1.50; IC 95%: 1.24–1.81; p < 0.01). La heterogeneidad fue moderada (I² = 55%) y el intervalo de predicción fue de 0.90 a 2.50, indicando variabilidad posible en estudios futuros. Conclusiones: El trabajo nocturno se asocia significativamente con un mayor riesgo de obesidad en trabajadores no sanitarios. Esta evidencia refuerza la necesidad de implementar estrategias preventivas y de vigilancia ocupacional en este grupo de trabajadores
