Abstract
Penelitian ini berfokus pada penerimaan Generasi Z terhadap lagu ‘Takut’ karya Idgitaf yang menceritakan tentang ketakutan dan kecemasan yang dialami pada umur dewasa muda atau quarter life crisis. Pada hal ini, peneliti ingin mencari tahu ketakutan apa yang dialami oleh Generasi z yang ada di Surabaya. Selain itu, peneliti juga ingin melihat apakah lagu ‘Takut’ karya Idgitaf telah mempresentasikan gambaran quarter life crisis yang dialami oleh generasi Z. Latar belakang dari penelitian ini adalah rasa kecemasan Generasi Z akan pendewasaan diri yang berhasil disampaikan melalui lagu berjudul ‘Takut’ karya salah satu musisi indonesia yang bernama Brigita Meliala , atau yang akrab dipanggil Idgitaf. Lagu yang viral pada tahun 2021 ini mendapatkan banyak perhatian dari masyarakat global karena lirik serta video klip yang menyentuh hati dan sesuai dengan apa yang dirasakan oleh Generasi Z. Memasuki era pandemi Covid-19 serta kehidupan yang serba online membuat Generasi Z memiliki tantangan hidup yang jauh berbeda dengan generasi-generasi sebelumnya. Meskipun memiliki karakteristik yang kreatif , inovatif, dan lebih perhatian dengan lingkungan sekitar, namun Generasi Z lebih rentan mengalami permasalahan kesehatan mental yang diakibatkan perubahan karakteristik yang dipengaruhi oleh media dan teknologi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ditemukan bahwa lagu ‘Takut’ karya Idgitaf merupakan representasi quarter life crisis yang cocok bagi generasi z. Penerimaan lirik dari lagu Idgitaf ditampilkan sebagai penggambaran ketakutan akan masa depan yang tidak pasti, tantangan dan tanggung jawab yang lebih berat, serta tujuan yang tidak tercapai. Video klipnya sendiri memberikan makna tersirat mengenai kesepian dan juga realitas setelah masa pendidikan. Lagu ini juga bermanfaat sebagai pemberi informasi , pengingat, serta memvalidasi perasaan yang dialami generasi Z dalam merasakan ketakutan dan kecemasan akibat quarter life crisis.
