Ce texte explore la puissance thérapeutique de la médiation animale – zoothérapie dans un cadre de psychothérapie psychanalytique, à travers l’expérience clinique de Jimmy, adolescent en souffrance. La rencontre interespèce, ici portée par deux canards, devient catalyseur de lien, de symbolisation et de subjectivation. L’animal-partenaire, loin d’être un simple outil, agit comme sujet sensible, présumé capable d’entrer dans une relation transférentielle. Le Modèle Humanimal (Fournier Chouinard, 2021) défend une posture clinique où l’animal, libre et communicant, participe activement à l’élaboration psychique du patient. À travers des scènes partagées, parfois chargées de pulsionnel, le texte montre comment l’agir animal peut figurer l’indicible, soutenir la différenciation et ouvrir un espace de jeu psychique. La vision clinique interespèce, proposée à partir d’un dispositif thérapeutique singulier, s’appuie sur des références psychanalytiques (Freud, Winnicott, Roussillon) et éthologiques, tout en intégrant une pensée transespèce. Elle propose une clinique du Vivant, inclusive et respectueuse de l’altérité animale, particulièrement adaptée aux patients en marge. Ce travail invite à reconnaître la pertinence de savoir parfois mettre nos pas dans l’empreinte de leurs pattes afin de bénéficier d’un éclairage humanimal sur nos enjeux humains.
