Abstract
La surindulgence de la Bioéthique Canadienne dominante dans les questions ‘de pointe’ de l'innovation médicale ou technologique, associée à son mépris pour les discussions critiques sur la race, est indicative de la plus grande lacune du domaine. Dans cette thèse, j'explorerai la racisme systémique de la Bioéthique, dévoilant ses fondements historiques et la réticence du domaine à confronter les injustices raciales. Ce faisant, je réfléchirai sur la manière dont la racisme systémique a considérablement modifié la trajectoire de la Bioéthique dominante, allant du silence des voix des personnes racisées à des allocations de financement biaisées. Le domaine en est venu à refléter des valeurs qui vont à l'encontre de la valeur de justice sur laquelle il est fondé. En m'appuyant sur les perspectives de la bioéthique noire et féministe, j'examinerai les limites de la bioéthique dominante et la manière dont l'intersectionnalité et la théorie feministe standpoint est mise en œuvre pour décentrer la racisme systémique. En proposant des stratégies pratiques pour décentrer la racisme systémique, je soulignerai l'importance des approches collaboratives interdisciplinaires et l'importance de favoriser les espaces de recherche antiraciste
