Many academic journals publish articles on aspects of curriculum studies from time to time. In addition, there are many journals concerned with the teaching of particular subjects or areas of the curriculum. The journals listed below are devoted entirely to curriculum studies or aspects of it. Curriculum The journal of the Association for the Study of the Curriculum. A British journal publishing articles from educationists and practising teachers on all aspects of curriculum studies and practice. Published twice a year and available from Nafferton Books, Driffield. Curriculum Inquiry Publishes contributions related to curriculum development, evaluation and theory. Contains major articles, extended critical reviews, and ‘dialogues’ between authors of papers and readers. Very largely American in orientation. Published quarterly and available from J. Wiley and Sons Ltd., 605 Third Avenue, New York, 10158. Curriculum Perspectives Publishes material on curriculum development, evaluation and theory. Has sections devoted to major articles, case studies and book reviews. Contributions are largely Australian. Published twice a year and available from Curriculum Perspectives, Western Australia College of Advanced Education, Churchlands Campus, Pearson Street, Churchlands, Western Australia 6153 Journal of Curriculum Studies An international journal with editors in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada and Australia. Publishes contributions to curriculum theory, planning, evaluation, innovation and practice. Contains major articles, case studies, reports and reviews. Published quarterly and available from Taylor and Francis Ltd., 4 John Street, London WC1N 2ET Studies in Educational Evaluation An international journal publishing empirical evaluation studies, brief abstracts of such studies, and reflections on issues involving the evaluation of curricula. Available from Pergamon Press Ltd., Headington Hill Hall, Oxford OX3 OBW The Journal of Curriculum Theorizing Invites material concerned with curriculum theory, history and criticism. Especially concerned with publishing articles from reconceptualists. Almost entirely American in orientation.
