Abstract

Au Québec, la formation à l’enseignement vise le développement de plusieurs compétences professionnelles chez les stagiaires (MÉQ, 2020). Une large part de cette formation est réservée à la formation en milieu de pratique, soulignant la contribution importante du formateur de terrain qu’est l’enseignant associé. Les attentes à son égard dépassent largement l’expérience en enseignement (MÉLS, 2008). L’accompagnement aura une influence majeure sur la formation et le développement professionnel du stagiaire (Monfette et Grenier, 2014) et aussi sur la pratique du futur enseignant (Chaliès et al., 2004). L’objectif général de notre recherche qualitative, financée par le Fonds de recherche du Québec, était de décrire l’accompagnement en contexte de stage. Plus précisément nous avons analysé la façon dont les enseignants associés s'acquittent de leur rôle d’accompagnateur dans leurs pratiques d’accompagnement (Vivegnis et Provencher, 2024). Par ailleurs, nous voulions connaître la perception des stagiaires quant à l’accompagnement reçu au regard de leur développement professionnel. Cet aspect particulier, connu grâce à des entretiens individuels semi-dirigés menés avec six stagiaires, fait l’objet de la présente proposition.
