Ce stage a pour objectif un apprentissage complet de l'acquisition sismique Sparker / Boomer / CHIRP sur la plate-forme continentale complétée de prélèvements par bennes et/ou petit carottier et/ou d'acquisition de données de sondeur multifaisceaux petits fonds et de SONAR latéral. Le thème scientifique abordé au cours de ce stage d'enseignement est celui de <strong>l'évolution des plates-formes continentales : description structurale et morphologique, enregistrement sédimentaire</strong>. La plate-forme continentale du domaine Atlantique / Manche ainsi que d'autres en milieux tropicaux connaissent un regain d'intérêt scientifique ces dernières années. De nombreuses études sont en cours (Universités de Bordeaux, de la Rochelle, de Vannes, de Brest, de Rennes, de Caen, IFREMER) et visent principalement à étudier l'enregistrement sédimentaire quaternaire en réponse aux signaux climatiques et tectoniques. La vaste plate-forme continentale bordant le Massif armoricain ainsi que la rade de Brest offrent cette possibilité d'étude en quelques jours de mer.
