Les substances per- et polyfluoroalkylées (PFAS) sont une vaste famille de composés synthétiques connus pour leur forte stabilité chimique, leur persistance environnementale et leur potentiel de bioaccumulation. Leur élimination par les traitements conventionnels des eaux usées demeure inefficace, posant un défi majeur pour la remédiation des milieux contaminés. Ce mémoire s’inscrit dans une approche biologique visant à évaluer la capacité de souches bactériennes isolées d’un sol contaminé par des hydrocarbures à transformer l’acide perfluorooctanoïque (PFOA), un PFAS modèle. Parmi les souches testées, la souche OA1, identifiée comme Stenotrophomonas acidaminiphila, a montré la plus forte résistance, tolérant des concentrations allant jusqu’à 100 mg L-1 en milieu minéral. Les essais en mode batch, réalisés dans un milieu LB enrichi à 0,5 mg L-1 de PFOA, ont permis d’observer une réduction de 45 % de la concentration initiale après 30 jours d’incubation. L’analyse par spectroscopie RMN ¹H a révélé l’apparition de nouveaux signaux absents dans le témoin non inoculés, suggérant une transformation moléculaire du composé. Ces résultats mettent en évidence le potentiel de souches bactériennes environnementales pour contribuer à la bioremédiation des PFAS.
