Abstract
Cette contribution focalise sur les propriétés discursives de certains jurons en français québécois. Sur la base d'analyses empiriques, je me propose de démontrer les qualités métapragmatiques de lexèmes tels que <italic>hostie, tabarnak, câlice,</italic> etc. qui sont fréquemment utilisés de façon routinisée et qui connaissent des emplois partiellement conventionalisés proches d'un marqueur discursif. J'examine uniquement les jurons utilisés en relation avec le discours rapporté et m'intéresse avant tout à leur contribution à l'établissement de différentes perspectives énonciatives ainsi qu'à la structuration de séquences polyphoniques. Deux contextes particuliers – le récit de paroles d'un côté et le soliloque ou <italic>self-talk</italic> d'un autre côté – servent comme point de départ pour une description nuancée des fonctions discursives naissantes des jurons participant à la démarcation du discours direct.
