Abstract
Cet article rend compte du travail interdisciplinaire du réalisateur Pere Portabella, qui a travaillé avec la poéte Joan Brossa, le musicien Carles Santos et le peintre Joan Miró à l’intérieur d’un cadre de production fonctionnant par atelier. L’analyse de cette méthode de production mise en parallèle avec des séquences particulières de leurs films d’atelier faits en Espagne de 1960 à 1970, montre comment ces ateliers furent critiques vis-à-vis le franquisme tardif, face à l’avant-garde et son esthétique. En particulier, les pratiques cinématographiques de ce groupe ont contesté la récupération intéressée de l’avant-garde catalan par le régime franquiste. Ces pratiques, propres aux artisans, remettent en question l’idée d’autonomie artistique par l’utilisation de méthodes et de matériaux non conventionnels. À la façon de Peter Bürger, la méthode avant-gardiste de Portabella renvoie l’art aux pratiques de la vie quotidienne. L’article conclu que l’artesania filmique, telle que Portabella l’a défendue, nous aide à concevoir à nouveau la théorie de l’auteur.
