Abstract
El autor, coordinador de euskera en las cooperativas pertenecientes a MCC, hace un repaso de la evolucion desde los anos 70 -con el primer plan estrategico del euskera en el Grupo Fagor- hasta la situacion actual del euskera en estas cooperativas. Empieza reconociendo el compromiso, adquirido por el grupo ya en su octavo principio cooperativo, a favor de la recuperacion de la lengua y cultura vasca. Este compromiso se extiende tambien a la lengua y cultura de cada comunidad en la que ubican sus instalaciones productivas. Y ello se traduce en el reconocimiento en los propios estatutos de cada cooperativa del euskera como idioma para el ambito del trabajo,actualmente mayoritariamente desarrollado en castellano. Este objetivo exige conciencia, competencia y coherencia linguistica, para lo cual desde hace 7 anos y progresivamente estan siendo puestos en marcha microplanes sistematicos para la normalizacion del euskera, dentro de una metodologia yaexperimentada en Quebec, a traves de circulos de comunicacion. Y en este ambito la generalizacion del uso del correo electronico en euskera dentro de la empresa nos ofrece una perspectiva optimista.
