Ця стаття – одна з перших спроб в Україні запропонувати теоретико-методологічне осмислення ролі перекладу в деколоніальних літературних практиках, розгорнути зміст поняття «деколоніальний переклад» і розвинути цілісну концепцію деколоніальної аналітики перекладу української літератури в іншомовному просторі через інструментарій едитології перекладу. Запропонований едитологічний аналіз англійськомовних видань антиколоніального роману «Тигролови» Івана Багряного слугує в цій студії прикладом релевантності та потенціалу розробленої концепції. Деколоніальний переклад позиціонуємо як критичний підхід до перекладу, який спрямований на (1) подолання «епістемічного насильства» в літературі, що вкорінене в колоніальних ієрархіях, (2) деконструювання колоніальних репрезентацій, (3) творення повноцінного міжкультурного діалогу й (4) ініціювання інтерпретаційних практик, які актуалізують ревізію панівного колективного знання. Відповідно, запропоновано проводити деколоніальну аналітику перекладного видання за такими умовними чотирма кроками едитологічного аналізу: (1) археологія знання; (2) паратекстуальна рамка; (3) уважне критичне читання тексту перекладу (close critical reading); (4 репрезентація, що націлена на (де)колоніальну конфігурацію матеріалу в новітній системі інтерпретаційних і дискурсивних координат. Саме едитологічний аналіз перекладних видань дає змогу або предметно ідентифікувати нашаровані рівні «колоніального знання» в позиціонуванні тексту й супровідного матеріалу або, навпаки, увиразнити їх деколоніальний характер. Наведений порівняльний аналіз двох англійськомовних видань «Тигроловів» Івана Багряного в перекладі Юрія Луцького, що вийшли в Торонто та Нью-Йорку, свідчить про різні стратегії соціополітичного позиціонування антиколоніального твору в канадському й американському культурних контекстах. / This article is one of the first attempts in Ukraine to propose a theoretical and methodological understanding of the role of translation in decolonial literary practices, to expand the meaning of the concept of “decolonial translation” and to develop a holistic concept of decolonial analytics of the translation of Ukrainian literature in a foreign language space through the tools of translation editology. The proposed editological analysis of English-language editions of the anti-colonial novel “Tiger Hunters” by Ivan Bahryany serves in this study as an example of the relevance and potential of the developed concept. We position decolonial translation as a critical approach to translation, which is aimed at (1) overcoming “epistemic violence” in literature rooted in colonial hierarchies, (2) deconstructing colonial representations, (3) creating a full-fledged intercultural dialogue and (4) initiating interpretive practices that actualize the revision of dominant collective knowledge. Accordingly, it is proposed to conduct a decolonial analysis of a translated edition according to the following conditional four steps of editological analysis: (1) archaeology of knowledge; (2) paratextual framework; (3) close critical reading of the translated text; (4) representation aimed at the (de)colonial configuration of the material in the new system of interpretative and discursive coordinates. It is the editological analysis of translated editions that makes it possible either to objectively identify the layered levels of “colonial knowledge” in the positioning of the text and accompanying material or, conversely, to emphasize their decolonial character. The presented comparative analysis of two English-language editions of Ivan Bahryany’s “Tiger Hunters” translated by Yuriy Lutsky, published in Toronto and New York, indicates different strategies for sociopolitical positioning of the anti-colonial work in the Canadian and American cultural contexts.
