Cet article présente une partie des résultats d’une enquête menée en 2010 auprès des enseignants-chercheurs nommés à titre définitif de l’Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Cette étude avait pour objectif de mieux connaître la mission d’enseignement de cette population et de permettre, tant aux autorités de l’université qu’aux acteurs concernés par l’aide aux étudiants et aux enseignants, de mieux connaître les besoins et la réalité du métier de professeur d’université, à travers l’identification des représentations des enseignants-chercheurs concernant leur mission d’enseignement. Dans cette contribution, les auteurs tentent de répondre plus précisément à deux questions relatives à l’évaluation des enseignements: d’une part, quels seraient les meilleurs procédés pour acquérir des compétences pédagogiques (les feedbacks des étudiants en étant un possible) et, d’autre part, quelles sont les perceptions des enseignants universitaires quant à la valorisation de leur mission d’enseignement dans leur progression de carrière.
