Les établissements d’enseignement face à l’évaluation : appropriation ou acculturation ?

Abstract
Cet article s’intéresse à la façon dont les établissements d’enseignement supérieur assument aujourd’hui les défis et les enjeux liés à l’évaluation institutionnelle. Dans un premier temps, l’article rappelle succinctement la problématique actuelle de l’évaluation des établissements en la situant dans le contexte des nouvelles politiques de l’éducation. Il présente aussi le contexte québécois où la recherche se déroule et la méthode adoptée pour la réaliser. L’approche méthodologique s’inspire des théories sociopolitiques des organisations (Crozier et Friedberg, 1977), (Piotet et Sainsaulieu, 1994). Dans un second temps, il présente un cas d’évaluation institutionnelle (ÉI) où la préservation et l’affirmation de la culture de l’établissement sont l’enjeu qui sous-tend tout le processus. En conclusion, nous situons les apports de cette recherche dans le cadre plus large des approches culturelles de la vie des organisations, en mettant en relief comment les acteurs ont transformé les démarches évaluatives et, en même temps, ils sont transformés par elles.
