Dans le cadre de la présente contribution qui rend hommage au travail d’envergure mené par Claude Poirier tout au long de sa carrière, nous nous arrêtons sur ces questions. Comment peut-on mettre à profit les ouvertures offertes par les nouvelles technologies dans la pratique de la traduction ? Notamment, dans quelle mesure la base QU.IT. peut-elle fournir un support au travail du traducteur littéraire (et pas seulement littéraire) ? Nous avons souvent eu l’occasion de relever, pour le couple de langues français - italien, l’absence de corpus textuels de traduction pouvant aider les praticiens. En permettant l’observation et l’analyse des stratégies adoptées dans des traductions publiées de la littérature québécoise, la base QU.IT. voudrait répondre à certains problèmes rencontrés par le traducteur, avant que n’entre en jeu la « dimension humaine, [...] jamais absente d’aucune traduction » (J. R. Ladmiral, 1994 : 22).
