L'ouvrage Trzy tumaczki de Krzysztof Umiski, publi aux ditions Marginesy, esquisse trois portraits de traductrices minentes qui ont rendu en polonais une partie considrable des oeuvres canoniques de la littrature franaise et anglo-amricaine. Les trois femmes auxquelles le titre sobre et succinct renvoie sont Joanna Guze, traductrice de la littrature franaise, connue surtout pour ses traductions des romans et essais d'Albert Camus, Anna Przedpeska-Trzeciakowska, traductrice des romans de Jane Austen, de William Faulkner et de Charles Dickens, et Maria Skibniewska, auteure de la version polonaise de la trilogie de J.R.R. Tolkien The Lord of the Rings.
