Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh kompetensi dan pengembangan karir terhadap employee engagement dan kinerja pegawai, untuk menganalisis employee engagement dalam memediasi pengaruh kompetensi dan pengemba-ngan karir terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Dinas Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak Pengendalian Penduduk Dan Keluarga Berencana di Kabupaten Majene Provinsi Sulawesi Barat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis Explanatory Research, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan persamaan Structural Equation Model berbasis Partial Least Square (SEM PLS 3.0). Hasil riset diperoleh bahwa kompetensi dan pengembangan karir berpengaruh signifikan terhadap employee engagement dan kinerja pegawai, employee engagement berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Hasil uji mediasi bahwa employee engagement dapat memediasi pengaruh kompetensi dan pengembangan karir terhadap kinerja pegawai pada Dinas Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Perlindungan Anak Pengendalian Penduduk Dan Keluarga Berencana di Kabupaten Majene Provinsi Sulawesi Barat. The purpose of this research is to determine and analyze the influence of competency and career development on employee engagement on employee performance, to analyze employee engagement in mediating the influence of competency and career development on employee performance at the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service Control Population and Family Planning in Majene Regency, West Sulawesi Province. This research uses a quantitative approach with the type of Explanatory Research, with data collection techniques through distributing questionnaires. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and a Structural Equation Model based on Partial Least Square (SEM PLS 3.0). The research results show that competency and career development has a significant effect on employee engagement and employee performance, employee engagement has a significant effect on employee performance. The results of the mediation test show that employee engagement can mediate the influence of competency and career development on employee performance at the Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Service, Population Control and Family Planning in Majene Regency, West Sulawesi Province.
