Abstract
Une recherche menée en France et au Québec, en maternelle, a conduit des chercheuses des deux pays à s’interroger sur les démarches éthiques de la recherche en éducation. Nous présentons tout d’abord les objectifs et la méthodologie qualitative et participative de cette recherche à titre contextuel. Ensuite, nous expliquons la démarche inductive de notre recherche qui permet d’exposer nos choix méthodologiques jusqu’à nos conceptions de l’éthique de la recherche. Nous analysons ensuite des différences entre les deux pays au niveau des procédures formelles de certification éthique et des manières d’accéder aux écoles et de traiter les questions de consentement et de participation des enseignants, des enfants et de leurs parents. Reposant sur des montages vidéo des pratiques éducatives, c’est aussi la question de la sélection des images qui est posée au cours du travail empirique. Au total, si une certification éthique contribue à la planification collective de la recherche, elle peut faire obstacle à la participation et au dialogue au cours de la recherche.
