Cet article met en lumière l’importance de l’interdisciplinarité dans la recherche et la formation juridiques, à partir de l’expérience doctorale de l’auteur (2017-2022). Il montre comment l’intégration de disciplines issues des sciences sociales et de la santé, dans l’étude du droit québécois de l’accommodement raisonnable appliqué au retour au travail après un trouble de santé mentale, a enrichi sa compréhension et son processus d’analyse. Cette approche lui a permis de dépasser le seul cadre du droit positif pour mieux saisir les enjeux concrets et formuler des pistes d’amélioration à la fois juridiques et pratiques. L’article illustre ainsi le potentiel de l’interdisciplinarité pour renouveler l’analyse juridique et incite les chercheurs en droit, qu’ils soient novices ou expérimentés, à s’engager dans la résolution de problèmes complexes au-delà des cadres traditionnels. Il est structuré autour de la définition de l’interdisciplinarité, du parcours personnel de l’auteur et de ses applications dans sa recherche doctorale.
